Basecamp for Android – Beacon
Stumbled upon this lovely find this morning. Since I recently switched from Sprint’s Palm Pre (based on webOS) to the Samsung Moment, which runs android, I’ve been looking for the best Android application to manage my Basecamp projects and activities and I may have found it.
Basecamp for Android – Beacon
Beacon is made by Binary Duo, and is a pretty impressive little android application for Basecamp. The program touts the following:
- Full offline viewing of all your projects, messages, people, comments, to-dos and milestones.
- Ability to add a message, comment, or milestone.
- Easily browse through people (avatars included!) to look up contact information, then easily call, text, email or IM the person.
- Quickly add or merge a person’s contact information from Basecamp directly into your phone’s contacts.
- Dashboard view that provides a quick snapshot of the latest activity in your projects.
- Ability to sync just the view of data you’re currently looking at, no need to constantly sync massive amounts of data.
- Jump directly to a message or comment from links in your notification emails.
I’ll be checking it out and giving a more in depth review shortly.
