Acando Sponsors 2011 Project Manager of the Year Award

APM awardsConsultancy company, Acando,  have announced that they will be sponsoring the 2011 Project Manager of the Year award from the APM. The annual APM awards recognise outstanding achievement in the project management arena across all sectors of industry. Although Acando provides project management services to its UK customers, the company was keen to become associated with the APM’s prominent awards, that are delivered at an impressive awards ceremony that will take place in London this year, at the Brewery on 20th October. The awards are open to applicants worldwide and the award for Project Manager of the Year, 2011, will be awarded to the lucky recipient by Acando’s Managing Director, Phil Jacklin.

 

The award for Project Manager of the Year will go to a successful project manager who has shown their ability to create a productive environment to work and who has the drive and enthusiasm to make things happen. Showing a balance across both technical and management skills, that sees the winner juggling different views and perspectives, backgrounds and personalities. The judging panel will also be looking for someone who can keep focussed and ensure the skills and abilities of their team and maximised and that project aims and objectives are delivered.

The judging panel will award this year’s accolade to the project manager who shows their project management competence most effectively, APM screenirrespective of the scale of projects, how many projects they’ve presented or what type of projects they are. Individual qualities are the criteria for evaluation.
